welcome
Thank you for taking the time to stop by! the tech me
I am a Software Designer/Developer and System Administrator by trade. After I finished school I worked for several small companies and then struck out on my own. My current business focus is on mobile device application development, currently iPhone/iPod Touch applications.
My biggest strengths (in my opinion) are problem solving and interface design. I came into the trade later than most which gives me the advantage of remembering what it was like not to know what to do with a computer. For this reason I am very particular about the ease-of-use for interfaces that I design. education
I completed my undergraduate degree at Acadia University, in Wolfville, Nova Scotia in the late 80s/early 90s. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative religion with a minor in English. In 1998 I went back to school to pursue my interest in computer science and attended the College of Geographic Sciences in Middleton, Nova Scotia. I have both a Certificate and Diploma as a Computer Programmer/Analyst.
After working in the industry for almost 10 years, I have gone back to school – again at Acadia – and I am studying Education. I am currently in my second year of a two-year Bachelor of Education program. My teachables are English and Technology Education at the secondary school level.
